'It's been many a year since I let my infatuations manifest in some artistic way, but so powerful was my reaction to the lamia - who I first learned of in Laurell K. Hamilton's Circus of the Damned - that I thought I'd give photomanipulation a try. This is the result - two nights of dabbling with liquify filters, blending and lighting. It's based entirely upon stock gleaned from DeviantART, with credits as follows:'
Read a couple of her books. Liked 'em but never got into the series. But I do really like your photomap, you did a great job. I may have to pick up "Circus of The Damned"

Its been said and done Every beautiful thought's been already sung. And I guess right now here's another one.
I'm taking the series pretty slowly myself, but the books work well enough on their own that while it helps to know who the characters are, you don't have immediate cliffhangers pressing you to read one after the other. I quite like that, myself.
No - thus far I've only made my way (slowly) through her first three Anita Blake books. I adore vampire fiction, but there's a lot of dross out there, and I was relieved to see that this series (or at least, the early parts of it - so I am warned) is very good.
Ohhh they are all very good, I haven't disliked a single book I've read them all except for Hit List (I'm too poor to buy the hard back, so have to wait for it to come out in paper back ). It could just be that I'm not very picky (I'm very open minded about any type of fiction) but the whole series is just amazing. I don't want to spoil anything for you so I won't go into details (really really want to though!) Let me know if you want to discuss anything~<3 (I haven't come across many people who read her stuff, so I get awfully excited when I do, please excuse my over enthusiastic-ness).
